Magic Mirror for macOS 0.0.6 is out. This release is about one thing: making the menu bar panel right.
The panel, rebuilt
- No more bubble: the panel is now a rounded translucent surface, matching the look of system menus — no arrow, no extra frame.
- Properly centred: the panel now opens centred under its menu bar icon. Previously it was offset to the right of the icon, and the further right your icon sat, the more obvious it was.
- Leaner: the window search field is gone — the window and screen lists are simply shown directly.
- Dismissal is unchanged: click outside the panel or press
Escto close it, and click the icon to bring it back.
Other improvements
- Removed the “Go to Settings” shortcut hint banner from the menu
- Settings: a little more breathing room above the first sidebar item
