Magic Mirror extension 0.0.3 — mirror any region of a page

Magic Mirror browser extension 0.0.3 is out — this release is all about mirroring any region of a page, not just elements.

What’s new

  • Mirror a region: drag-select any rectangular area of a page (charts, canvases, K-line graphs — even places where elements are hard to click). The region is anchored to the page content, so it follows as the page scrolls, and it works across pages too.
  • Two pick modes, one click apart: “Smart select” (hover & click an element) and “Drag select” (drag to frame a region) — switch between them directly from the toolbar popup.
  • Multi-select now works for both: keep clicking elements or keep drag-selecting regions in one session.
  • Smoother mirrors: content appears right away when a mirror is created, and stays stable even on busy pages.
  • Cleaner popup: leaner settings, consistent button styling, and a handy link to the macOS desktop app.

How to install / update

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store and search for Magic Mirror
  2. Click “Add to Chrome” — updates install automatically
  3. Click the toolbar icon, choose Smart select or Drag select, and start mirroring
